DIONÍSIO SANTOS (acoustic guitar and cavaquinho) is originally from Bahia, but moved to Rio de Janeiro at age 18, where he played with the group Copa 7, Elimar Santos, Johnny Alf, Celeste, and numerous other bands.

He spent several years living and performing in Europe, Africa and Scandinavia with, among other groups, Brasil Tropical.

Returning to Rio, he became the guitarist and a composer/arranger for the famous samba singer, Leci Brandão.

He has been living and performing in New York for the last 7 years.
